Mixed Netball Day 1

Close macthes are the flavour of the morning 

The Stadium is filled with the sounds of whistles, the sliding of runners on the wooden floorboards and fast-paced netball from the mixed netball teams that have kicked off the Monash Games on Day 1.

Team Jaffy had a great success over Team Pegasus in a close match thriller! Team Jaffy are all new to netball and have not played competitive netball before. Their enthusiasm to try a new sport with their friends definitely helped them to their victory.

The teams from Gippsland have had a morning of rivalry - playing against each other in a close game that definitely highlighted the strength and great team skills of these Gippsland teams. The team of Gippsland City just wanted to have a bit of fun with their uni friends, so their victory this morning will have been a great confidence booster for the rest of the competition.

What a morning it has been so far for the mixed netball teams!
